I took the car back to superior chevrolet on 5/23/19 reporting the accelerator did not respond again as it had in january. This has almost caused a few accidents with my baby in the backseat, too. We were driving on the freeway and the reduced power light, engine light and traction control light came on. This has occurred twice now. In September 2019, the plaintiffs filed an amended . The gas gasket was replaced however, the ecm failure recurred. . While driving approximately 35 mph, a 2018 gmc terrain crashed into the front end of the vehicle. No warning lights or nothing on. I do some research and noticed on not the only driver with this problem they tell me I can still drive it but nobody told me pieces of the pump could damage the engine also so what do I do now, My vehicle acts as if it doesnt want to start after being at a red light or stop sign when my feet is released off the break it takes a few seconds to start back up. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS INSTANCE HAS OCCURED. Another issue is with the radio and blue tooth. I took it to a mechanic who said the acceleration sensor is bad and I had to replace my accelerator and was forewarned that this is is going to happen again because it's a factory defect. I have been thru alot of issues with my Malibu and finally GM reprogrammed my cars motor which improved its performance but now I have been getting noise from the motor plus last night the motor started acting funny. You can have the gas pedal pushed to the floor and still the car has serious hesitation and delay of acceleration. The mechanic was unable to retrieve a fault code. So after an inspection I felt pretty confident that was my brand new malibu's problem, so I went to the parts counter and dropped 0 on my warrantied malibu, and sure enough the car was fine after that! And today my car did what it do a here and there it shut off and then on a busy road would not go. Mind you I used the car saturday night and it was totally fine. The second time I received a notification that there was an issue with the "electronic drivetrain" and needed to take it in for service. I had the batteries replaced twice in the last 2 years,there is no faulty in the battery. I feel that not only my saftey but the safety of others on the road is in jeopardy because of this. They are selling cars with defects and I told them I wanted a different model or same model and they told me I had to talk to corporate which I did and corporate told me I had to talk to the dealer so now I am in the workings of filing a lawsuit for lemon law since they have no intention on fixing this problem since now the remote start won't work since this issue and corporate isn't doing anything which is fine because the courts will work this out chevrolet use to be a good reliable company but not anymore. Once the engine was restarted, "reduced power" appeared on the instrument panel.
