In the Circuit Court of the State of Oregon for the County of Lake, the defendant, Theodore Paul Simmons, is accused by the Grand Jury for Lake County of the following offense(s): Count 1 - Driving While Suspended or Revoked: The defendant, on or about January 3, 2023, in Lake County, Oregon did unlawfully and feloniously drive a motor vehicle upon a highway or premises open to the public . Subsequently, school leadership was contacted by MPD regarding the alleged incident. Those indicted are presumed innocent. Crawford, 54, of Grove, allegedly killed victim Richard Strade on Sept. 7, 2021. Texas law requires action by the grand jury in most instances before a felony case can be brought to trial.
